| The best preschools are those which recognize and
try to meet the needs of the whole child. Although no one denies the need for a good
educational foundation, experts agree that play and a wide variety of activities are a
vital aspect of a child's life.
At Circle C
Ranch Academy, the children have an advantage over most other preschool environments in
our area. There is a large tree-shaded five acres where the children are free to run and
play and be children -- as children were meant to be. There are
horses
to ride, trees to climb, a fully-equipped age-appropriate
playground
and a few farm animals to care for and love.
Swimming is also a
part of the curriculum as weather permits.
We all agree that children need to be allowed to
remain in a world of fantasy and frolic for as long as possible, however, this period of
time is sadly being shortened by the demands of a world where technology is expanding at a
rapid pace. Circle C meets those demands by offering age-appropriate
computer instruction as part of the regular curriculum.
Our
curriculum includes
developmentally age-appropriate activities that are designed to help the child develop a
positive attitude toward learning. Children are active learners, therefore, our curriculum
is actual hands on activities that are designed to enhance social skills and develop motor
skills. Arts & Crafts
and
Music
are a regular part of our curriculum.
Finally, we realize the need for the child
to explore the world outside of their home and Circle C. To meet that need, we provide
several field trip opportunities during the year.
